Staff relationships will flourish if they feel supported by each other, are happy in their jobs and have a sense of security at work.
The interactions between staff members can be used by nurse managers to assess the workplace and determine whether there are healthy relationships.
Do staff members show dysfunctional behavior toward each other or trust?
Even among the most junior staff members, toxic or dysfunctional behaviours can be evident. Nurse managers must make efforts to promote positive interactions.
Without healthy interpersonal relationships, any other efforts to create a positive workplace environment are likely to fail.
You will be examining the interactions of employees at your current workplace or another organization with which you are familiar.
You will also learn about positive psychology, which is a theory of well being that can help many workplaces increase positivity and foster healthy relationships between employees.

Here are some leadership strategies you can use to create and foster healthy relationships at a nursing facility. These include building staff skills, identifying relationship needs, and creating a positive working environment.
A team that is competent and motivated in their work environment will be a strong one.
This will ensure all nurses are competent, and that their actions are reliable.
Also, developing skills for staff will enable nurses to work together by supporting one another.
This will allow me to target all nurse types in order to increase my skills at all levels.

These extrinsic motivating interventions can help to promote positive emotions in the workplace and increase morale.
This strategy must be used by all levels of nurses at work to encourage coordination and support for staff members in hospitals.
A positive psychology strategy can help improve positive and negative interactions within the workplace. This is essential in order to successfully implement a leadership strategy.
This case will focus on a non linear leadership approach and six principles psychological strategies to improve positive to negative interactions.
This non-linear approach to leading the staff will result in a positive psychological workplace. Employees will be able to work on their own initiative and not be forced to perform their duties (Langlois (2012)).
Implementing the PROPEL strategy, which will promote positive psychology at work, will be the sixth principle strategy.
These strategies will promote individual passion, optimism, proactivity and relationships as well as energy and legacy.
These strategies will help staff increase positive or negative psychological emotions within the workplace.
These strategies are intended to allow the leader in the workplace to create an environment that is conducive to employees’ satisfaction and retain them within the company.
This discussion reveals that the leadership style in the health care sector must change from one of command and control to embrace new approaches that encourage healthy relationships and facilitate quality service.
Modern workplace leaders must focus on creating healthy relationships and encouraging positive to negative psychological interactions through the formulation and implementation of good strategies.
