The purpose of this module is provide the student with personal application of wellness and behavioral theory to a personal or lifestyle or behavioral intervention of their choosing (walking 10,000 steps per day). Develop a plan for self-care on the select topic area and implement the plan over a 4 week time period. Behavioral objectives, outcome criteria and an evaluation process are critical components of this assignment. The student will submit an 4-6 page reflective paper identifying the behavioral and wellness concepts as applied to the self-care modality, the process of implementing the plan and the evaluation of the progress. A reflective analysis of how this process did/may influence their approach to behavioral change modalities in patients will also be included.
